Tirthahalli: Car gutted after catching fire on highway

Tirthahalli: A car was gutted after caught on fire on a road near Tallurangadi near Agumbe in Tirthahalli taluk on Sunday.

It is suspected that an overheated engine may have started the blaze. Within no time the flames engulfed the entire car on the National Highway.

Fortunately, the occupants of the car managed to escape unhurt. The origin of the car was not immediately known.

There was a traffic jam on the National Highway for a while due to the incident.

The incident took place in Agumbe Police Station limits.
