Kalaburagi: The Kalaburagi bench of the High Court dismissed the writ petition filed by an officer challenging the order of the Karnataka Administrative Tribunal (KAT) which had cancelled the transfer of a district backward classes officer Ramesh Sanga.
The applicant, Devendrappa Biradar, a district BCM officer, was also fined Rs 5,000 by the Court and ordered to pay the fine to Ramesh Sanga within 15 days of the order being issued.
Sanga was transferred from the head of the BCM department before the expiry of his tenure and Biradar was appointed in his place.
Sanga approached the Kalaburagi branch of the KAT questioning his transfer.
The KAT after hearing the case had cancelled Sanga’s transfer on October 20 last year.
Biradar had filed a petition in the Kalaburagi bench of the High Court challenging this order.
