BMTC plans to hike Bus fare amid rise in fuel prices

Bengaluru: Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister Laxman Savadi on Thursday, February 25 said that fares for Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) buses likely to increase amid rising fuel prices. However, he said the final call will be taken by the Chief Minister
Laxman Savadi said that the bus fares have not seen hike since 2014-15. He further said that no other state-run transport corporations like the KSRTC will see a fare hike as they have already seen a 12% hike last year.
However, a few activists have warned of protest if the bus fares are increased
