Dharmasthala woman selected as civil judge

Belthangady: Chetana (29) from Dharmasthala has been selected as a civil judge after clearing the examination held by the Karnataka High Court.

Her confirmation as a civil judge was issued in a notification on February 25.

Chetana studied from class 1 to 6 at a Kannada-medium school at Perne near Uppinangady. She also studied in Sri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Secondary School at Dharmasthala and completed her pre-university course at Government First Degree College at Belthangady.

He completed his legal studies at Sri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Law College at Mangaluru in 2016 and started her career with Karnataka High Court Judge BA Patil serving as Clerk Research Assistant for almost three years.

Later she was a junior lawyer in the office of Advocate Shivaprasad Shantanagoudar for a year.
