Udupi: Udupi Power Corporation managed by Adani group is discharging effluents on sea shore since more than a month at Yermal Bada in the district.

“Udupi Power Corporation managed by Adani group is discharging effluents on sea shore since more than a month at Yermal Bada in Udupi District resulting in great loss to all the fisherman dependent on marine produce. Authorities should order the closure of the plant till the discharge pipeline is restored as per specification,” wrote Yathish Baikampady CEO, Promoter. Isaac Vas Promoter. Panambur Beach Tourism Development Project (PBTDP) in a Facebook post.

“Action should be initiated against the Official responsible for not maintaining this discharge pipeline and a criminal procedure should be initiated for the company before fisherman community starts protesting,” he further added.
