Tulu Sahitya Academy to hold special awards ceremony on March 7 at B’luru

Mangaluru: The Karnataka Tulu Sahitya Academy will be holding a special award ceremony at Bengaluru on March 7 to present its honorary awards for the past three years.

Speaking at a news conference here, the president of the Academy Dayanand Kathalsaar said that guests at the award ceremony will include Union Minister DV Sadananda Gowda, Minister of fisheries S Angara and BJP National General Secretary CT Ravi.

The honorary awards for Tulu literature for the years 2018, 2019 and 2020 will be presented to Lalitha R Rai, Dr S R Vignaraj, Ramachandra Baikampady respectively, Kathalsaar informed.

Awards will also be presented for Tulu drama, Tulu folk arts, Tulu poetry, a Youth Achiever award and book awards, he further added.

Tulu organisation such as the Tulukoota Kuwait, Tulu Sangha Baroda, Bengaluru Tulu Koota and Tulukoota Udupi will also be presented with organisational awards.
