Mangaluru: Sale of seized luxury car in police custody; CID begins probe

Mangaluru: Criminal investigation department (CID) team has launched a probe into the sale of a seized luxury car in police custody

It is said that a luxury car worth about Rs 50 lac that had been seized by the city police was sold. It was taken into custody from Delhi-based persons accused in a cheating case, along with two other cars. Sources claim that  city crime branch officials were involved in the deal

The investigation is led by CID superintendent of police, Rohini Katoch and after the completion of the probe,  the team will submit its report to the state director general of police.
