Customs officials seize over 200 iPhones worth Rs 2.8 cr from couple at KIA

Bengaluru: Over 200 iPhones worth Rs 2.8 crore has been seized from a Couple by Customs officials at  Bengaluru’s Kempegowda International Airport on Sunday. They contained 206 sealed iPhone 12 Pro and Pro Max cellphones

The couple was of Indian origin with United States passports, they had left for France from Mumbai on February 13, 2021, and came to Bengaluru with large quantities of smuggled iPhones.

It is said that 37 debit and credit cards used in the purchase were also seized from them. They were produced before a magistrate on Sunday who remanded them to judicial custody till March 12.
