Co-WIN glitches: Only 22% got vaccine on Day 1 in Bengaluru

Bengaluru: Only 22% of beneficiaries were administered the COVID-19 vaccine shots on Monday in the second phase of the vaccination drive in Bengaluru, according to BBMP data
Out of 4,200 designated beneficiaries, 938 were administered the vaccine shots. Also, out of the 22 vaccination centres, four centres, Victoria Hospital, CV Raman Nagar General Hospital and Columbia Asia Hospital in Whitefield and Sarjapura, did not provide a single shot of the vaccine
BBMP Commissioner N Manjunatha Prasad said that the Co-WIN app and portal were unable to handle the traffic and the glitches need to be fixed soon.
