Bajpe: An incident where the rear axle of a car completely broke away from the car’s body after it was collided by another car occurred on State Highway 67 near Bhatrakere within Bajpe gram panchayat limits at around 2:20 pm on Friday.
A Hyundai Creta was travelling from Mangaluru to Kateel temple when a Maruti Wagon R heading towards Bajpe from Permude collided with it its rear wheel on its right side.
The force of the impact made the Creta turn around on its wheel once and broke off both its rear wheel from the main chassis.
