Kundapura: National Highways Authority of India’s officials have confirmed at a meeting of the town council that the construction of the flyover near the Shastri Circle here will conclude by March 31 and the flyover will be opened for the general public in April.

All pending works were reported to have been completed in the past few months including the connecting road at Basruru Moorkai and the cattle pass near the KSRTC bus stand.

However, there is still no proper drainage on the service roads and some do not have lids. The works on fixing them would be done after opening the flyover.

Additionally, the service roads do not have sidewalks.

Gopalakrishna Shetty of the town council has said, “Works on the service road and the town council road must be done by the contractors. They have been warned that the council will file a case if it is not finished within the stipulated time.”
