Mother of 3 kids elopes with Class 8 student in UP’s Gorakhpur

In a rather shocking case, a mother of three children allegedly eloped with a Class 8 student in Uttar Pradesh’s Gorakhpur.

The 29-year-old woman and the boy, aged 15, went missing from a Shivratri fair last week. Their families searched for them and later approached the police on Friday.

Based on the complaint lodged by the boy’s family, the police have booked a case against the woman under sections 363 (Punishment for kidnapping) and 365 IPC (Kidnapping or abducting with intent secretly and wrongfully to confine a person).

A probe has been initiated but the two are yet to be traced, stated reports.

Sources said that the woman and the boy were in a relationship for the past year but no one suspected them because of their age gap.

The woman’s husband, in his statement to the police, said that he had noticed a change in her behaviour towards him but had never imagined that she would elope with a 15-year-old.
