Vijayapura: Two kabaddi players killed on spot in car-container truck collision

Vijayapura: Two Maharashtra-based kabbadi players were killed and six others seriously injured when the car they were travelling in collided with a container truck at Kolhar near here.
The accident victims were identified as Sohail Ismail (20) and Mahadeva Bapu Avati (23).
The kabbadi players were travelling in a Chevrolet Tavera from Baramati in Maharashtra to Tulsigiri in Bagalkot district to take part in the Pro Kabaddi Tournament selections.
On reaching the Runihal cross, the vehicle collided with the container which was on its way to Delhi from Byadagi.
Police officials from Kolhar police station rushed to the spot and inspected the accident.
