Min CP Yogeshwar launches Journalists’ Welfare Fund

Mangaluru: In a programme organized by Dakshina Kannada District Working Journalists’ Union (DKDWJU), Mangaluru Press Club and Patrika Bhavan Trust, Minister for Tourism C P Yogeshwar launched Journalists’ Welfare Fund at Hotel Ocean Pearl on Saturday, March 20

Speaking at the occasion, Yogeshwar said, “Journalists have always been my guide. I will handover Rs 5 lac to this fund. Our government will always stand with the journalists”

Former Minister Krishna J Palemar said, ” Due to the pandemic, journalists are suffering as their salaries have been deducted. Several of them are suffering without proper income. This fund will help journalists. I too will give Rs 5 lac to this fund”

Mayor Premananda Shetty, Ananda Shetty, President of Patrika Bhavan Trust, Annu Mangaluru,  President of Mangaluru press club, Ibrahim Adkastala, General secretary DKDWJU, and Jagannath Shetty Bala, State executive committee member were also present.
