Mijaru Srinivas Gowda breaks another Kambala and possibly world record

Venur: Mijaru Srinivas Gowda has crushed all previous records held in the coastal Karnataka sport of Kambala.
At the ‘Surya-Chandra Jodukere’ Kambala held at Venur Permuda in Belthangady taluk, Gowda crossed the Kambala field and reached the target in 11.21 seconds.
When calculated for 100 metres he covered the distance in 8.96 seconds, breaking world record-holder Usain Bolt’s record of 9.58 seconds.
On February 6, Byndoor Vishwanath covered 100 metres distance in 9.15 seconds at the Aikal Kambala. This too broke Bolt’s record.
Prior to that, at the 2020 Aikal Kambala, Gowda had set a record by reaching the target in 9.55 seconds.
Later, records were also set by Akkeri Suresh Shetty who clocked in at 9.37 seconds and Irvattur Anand at 9.57 seconds.
Mijaru Srinivas Gowda has now broken all of these records.
