Byndoor: Pedestrian killed in hit-and-run mishap

Byndoor: A 42-year-old pedestrian died after a car hit him and drove off at Taggarse in Byndoor Taluk

The deceased identified as Dasappa was the driver of a goods career rickshaw.

It is said that a Maruti Swift car coming from the direction of Kollur hit Dasappa who was standing on the side of the road. He suffered serious head injuries and was    immediately rushed to a nearby hospital but doctors declared him brought dead

It is said that the driver fled from the spot and moved towards Bhatkal. The driver then stopped the car in Bhatkal and escaped.  Byndoor police officials succeeded in finding the car immediately.

A case has been registered at Byndoor Police station.
