Shivamogga: Neolithic stone tool discovered

Shivamogga: A Neolithic-era stone tool was discovered at a farm in Kallahalli village in Bhadravathi taluk of the district here.
The discovery was made by a team of experts from the Department of Archaeology, Museum and Heritage.
The stone tool was reported to be an axe measuring 17 centimetres long and 6 centimetres wide and dating back to approximately 2,500 BC.
This new discovery adds to the more than 25 Neolithic sites that have been discovered in the district to date.
