Udupi: Unknown miscreants set fire to vehicles parked in front of houses in two separate cases in Udupi.
In the first case, a bike that was parked at the house by Harish Kumar Bhat (42), a resident of NGO Colony, Badagubettu village was set on fire by miscreants on April 5 between 1 am to 2 am.
It is said that the miscreants locked the house from outside before setting the bike on fire. The estimated loss is Rs 20,000.
In another incident, an autorickshaw parked in front of the house by Abdul Rasheed (50) was set on fire by miscreants at the NGO Colony of Badagubettu village near Bailoor. The vehicle was parked as usual in front of the gate of Karim Manzil, the house of Abdul Rasheed (50), owner of the vehicle.
The incident is suspected to have taken place between 1 am to 2 am. The estimated loss is Rs 2.25 lac.
Both the cases have registered at Udupi city police station.
