Bengaluru: In a shocking incident, a woman strangled her three-year-old daughter to death and later concocted a story claiming that she went missing.

On Tuesday, the accused, Sudha, 28, had reportedly taken her daughter Vinutha to a nearby food stall on the pretext of buying Gobi Manchurian and strangled her to death using a veil.

She later told her husband Veeranna that the child went missing when she was paying the bill and the couple filed a missing complaint in the police station.

The three-year-old’s body was found in an under-construction building on Wednesday morning. Finding Sudha’s behavior a bit strange, the police began inquiry with locals and the food stall that she said she had taken Vinutha too. It was found that Sudha had not visited the stall whereafter police detained her for questioning.

While confessing to the crime, Sudha revealed that she was angry over her daughter as she would reveal all about those visiting her house, her conversations with others to her husband.
