Ullal: A 65-year-old man, working as a security guard at a commercial and residential apartment building at Thokottu fabricated a story of him winning Rs 1 crore in the Kerala government’s Bhagyamithra lottery.
Moinuddin Kutty, 65, from Calicut in Kerala, claimed that he bought the lottery costing Rs 100 in Uppala near Kasargod on April 4 while he was visiting home. Reports even said that he had borrowed Rs 500 from a tailor in the building, where he works as a guard, to visit home and had bought the lottery with that money.
However, it was later found out that Kutty had fabricated this story by editing the lottery ticket to show himself as one of the winners. Kutty had reportedly taken loans from several people and has now gone absconding.
