Gold worth Rs 30.73 lakh seized by customs at MIA

Mangaluru: Customs officials at the Mangaluru International Airport (MIA) seized gold worth Rs 30.73 lakh from a Dubai returnee on Thursday, April 8.
The passenger identified as Ibrahim Panalam Abdullah hailing from Alampady of Kasargod, Kerala was coming from Dubai. He was trying to smuggle gold by concealing it in his innerwear.
Gold of net weight 647.000 grams valued at Rs 30.73 lac was seized by the officials
