Bengaluru: Former Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition Siddaramaiah on Saturday slammed the state BJP government’s decision to impose a ‘night curfew’ to curb the spread of virus as ineffective and unscientific.

Likening the curfew decision to banging utensils, Siddaramaiah in a tweet said, “The decision of @BJP4Karnataka govt to impose night curfew is as ineffective & unscientific as banging utensils. The great @narendramodi & @BSYBJP duo will use their entire political science skills to destroy people.”

In yet another tweet he questioned the logic behind the curfew stating that it would have been enough to just close night hotels, theatres and shops.

Pointing out towards shortage of vaccines in the state the Congress leader tweeted, “Just 1% of the population have been vaccinated even after 80 days. There is already shortage of vaccines in the State. @BSYBJP should ask the Central govt to first address the shortage.”

The failure of the administration is clearly evident in the management of #Covid19. There is no uniform protocol for all the districts. @CMofKarnataka should first address these inefficiencies,” he said in yet another tweet.
