Hunsur: 2 arrested after RTC employees smash glasses of 5 buses and injure 1

Hunsur: In the first violent acts reported since the start of the road transport corporations employees strike, glasses of five buses were smashed by protesting employees here.

Stones were pelted at the rear glass of a bus at Rangayyanakoppalu Gate on the Mysuru-Hunsur road while it was travelling towards Mysuru.

The bus’s glass was smashed and a passenger was injured in the head.

The police, after a chase, arrested two of the stone-pelters, Santosh Bhajantri and Krishna Murthy, who are mechanics at the Hunsur KSRTC bus depot.

Apart from this, stones were pelted at buses and glasses smashed at Gavadagere, Yashodharapura and Bolanahalli.

Cases were registered at the rural police station against these violent incidents.
