Belthangady: Over 150 Chicken dumped at roadside, Locals rush to get some poultry home

Belthangady: Over 150 Salem breed chicken was dumped by the side of national highway 73 near Mundaje village on Sunday, April 11

The nearby residents rushed to the site to get the chicken home. However, several carcasses were also found near the road which has created a sense of fear among the residents

It is said that over 50 dead chicken found in the area looked like they were sick. The locals also have been advised to not eat the chicken

Even though the veterinary  officer was informed by the Local Gram  Panchayat president,  no official visited the spot till Sunday evening

Earlier, the carcasses of monkeys and birds were found in the same spot
