Vitla: 1 dead, 1 injured after pickup collides with scooter

Vitla: One person died and another was injured after the scooter they were riding on was collided by a pickup here.

The deceased scooter rider has been identified as Santosh (35) and the injured pillion rider as Ranjith, who has been admitted to a government hospital in Mangaluru.

It was reported that the pickup truck, travelling from Kalladka to Saleturu, was overspeeding when it hit the scooter travelling from Saleturu to Kalladka.

A case has been registered at the Vitla police station.
