On April 14, a Twitter user shared a cropped version of Ranveer Singh’s Vogue cover from 2018 and asked netizens to guess the actor.
While the comments section of the post was flooded with names like Sonakshi Sinha, Priyanka Chopra, and many others, the user then shared the original picture, where Ranveer Singh is wearing a silver blazer, skinny jeans, and heeled boots.
After the tweet, a section of Twitter decided to troll the actor for the look.
Actor Ranveer Singh is often seen rocking androgynous looks with great panache and has been trolled often for his satirical choices.

Netizens were quick to drag Ranveer’s wife Deepika Padukone into it by sharing distasteful jokes, other offensive comments were targeted towards the LGBTQ++ community. On the other hand, several users tried to hit back at ‘transphobic’ trolls.

Despite Supreme Court’s verdict to decriminalize homosexuality in 2017, homophobic and transphobic comments reflect that a lot of work still remains to be done when it comes to shattering gender stereotypes.
