Busch Beer, a brewery is looking for a dog and is willing to pay $20,000 (Rs 15 lakh) as a salary to taste test its new canine-friendly brew.

The company recently said that they are looking for a dog who can be their “chief tasting officer” to help them expand the line of dog beer. Dog Brew is an alcohol-free “beer” made from bone broth.

A contest is being organised to hire a four-legged “Chief Tasting Officer” for Busch Dog Brew, the company announced. “Entries will be accepted till April 28. Dog owners can post a picture of their pooch and a description of their qualifications on social media with the hashtag #BuschCTOcontest. Applications will close on April 28,” it said.

The dog will be paid $20,000 (Rs 15 lakh) as a salary, an $800 (Rs 60,000) pre-paid card to be used as pet insurance (as healthcare) and 10 four-packs of Busch Dog Brew (as company stock options), according to the announcement and contest rules.

The canine chief tasting officer will be responsible for “taste-testing, quality control, and fulfilling duties as an ambassador for the product.”

Busch says the responsibilities of the Chief Tasting Officer include “taste-testing, quality control and fulfilling duties as an ambassador for the product and a featured content creator on Busch’s social channels.”
