Home Minister Bommai urges KSRTC employees to withdraw strike

Bengaluru: Karnataka Home Minister Basavaraj S Bommai on Monday said has asked KSRTC employees to withdraw their strike and return to work.

He further said that he had a meeting with Kodihalli Chandrashekar, who is leading Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) employees’ strike. Bommai also explained to Chandrashekar the present financial condition of the state amid  Covid-19

KSRTC employees have given a call for a strike with certain demands including salary hike, permanent job, wages, and shifts.

Talking about the Covid-19 situation, he said, ” Currently, We are having meetings with experts, officials, and the technical advisory committee. We have also collected DC and CEOs’ opinions. The reports will be given to the CM after which he will take an appropriate decision. We will impose stricter rules in the state”

“The reason for the Covid-19 spread in Bengaluru is due to people come from different states to Bengaluru with COVID-19 and people over here are also not following the directions given to them,” he added
