Shivamogga: Karnataka Rural Development Minister K S Eshwarappa on Tuesday said that it is shocking to see Governor’s intervention in controlling the spread of Covid-19 in the state
Speaking to the reporters, Eshwarappa said, ” I do not understand why Governor has called this meeting. I am not saying it is wrong but when there are elected MLAs and MPs to manage the situation, what was the need for the Governor to interfere? I suspect this move will give rise to a new system in the state.”
He further said, ” Governor might have called this meeting to create awareness among the leaders. However, there is no doubt that any decision taken during the meeting will be for the betterment of the state. Although there is no need for another lockdown in the state, Governor’s decision will be final”
“The only solution for the rising Covid-19 cases in the state is to follow all the Covid-19 protocols such as wearing masks and maintaining social distance,” he added
