Arantodu: Movement of heavy vehicles on the Mani-Mysuru National Highway 275 has been blocked after a road collapsed near Jodupala.

Road repair works had begun recently after cracks appeared on the road. As the area received rains for a few days, the road collapsed on Saturday.

The Kodagu district administration ordered stopping of all heavy vehicles from accessing the road after the incident.

All heavy vehicles are being made to park in a queue on the side of the road at Sampaje Gate.

Last year too the road near Jodupala Junction had collapsed and was then temporarily repaired.
