Hubballi: Police here have arrested actress Shanaya Katwe in connection with the murder of her brother Rakesh Katwe (32).

Rakesh’s chopped body parts were found in different parts of the city, after which the police formed teams to catch the murderers.

Four suspects, all in their twenties, were arrested and the motive behind the murder was learned from them.

Shanaya and one of the arrested suspect Niyazahemed Katigar’s (21) relationship was opposed by Rakesh. Therefore, Katigar conspired to kill him.

Shanaya allegedly supported Katigar and they planned to kill Rakesh when she arrived at Hubballi for the promotion of her new movie.

Accordingly, Katigar and his associates killed Rakesh and dumped his chopped body parts at various areas of the city. Rakesh’s decapitated head was found in the Devaragudihal forest.

Shanaya too has been arrested now and remanded in judicial custody.
