Puttur: During the performance of the Brahmakalashotsava and Prathisthe at the Padumale daivasthana – the birthplace of Tulu legends Koti and Chennaya – Nag serpents were seen appearing from various directions.
On the morning of April 24 various rituals such as Prathisthe, Jeevakalashabhisheka, Mahapooja, Ganapati Havana, Brahmakalasha, Naga Bermarabhimba prathishte were performed.
The Nag serpents started to appear when the Aradhana bhimbhaprathisthe was performed at the samadhi of Deyi Baidedi, mother of Koti and Chennaya.
On the evening of April 23 too, when the idol of the Naga was being brought out of the lake many Nag serpents were noticed.
