Bantwal: Iqbal Perlia, a resident of Perlia at BC Road here, has been providing meals two times a day to many beggars hit hard by the lockdown.
The beggars were dependent on the small restaurants for their food. However, due to the lockdown, there are no people to give alms or eateries for food.
Iqbal works as an assistant to an engineer in the Bantwal town council and had also helped many during last year’s lockdown.
Last year, he and many others fed the needy through the town council. This year Iqbal is individually serving meals prepared at his home.
He is supported by his sister and brother-in-law in this humanitarian task.
