Mangaluru: The Central Market here has been closed after an order was issued regarding it by Deputy Commissioner Dr KV Rajendra.
The order comes in view of the rush and COVID-19 guidelines violation that was reported on April 29 at the market.
Many people were seen without masks and no distancing was maintained at any of the shops in the market on Thursday.
Police have set up barricades and checkpoints around the market to prevent anybody from entering it
The DC’s order further states that trading will be allowed at the Baikampady APMC yard.
