Seven arrested in double attempted murder case; Rs 10k reward announced for police team

Mangaluru: The CCB police finally solved a double murder attempt case with the arrest of seven people.
The arrested are Abdul Jabbar alias Maripalla Jabbar, Nazeer Ahmad, Bilal Moideen, Ibrahim Shakir, Mohammad Nihal, Abbas Afwan, and Mohammed Antim Isham.
Three other accused in the case are absconding.
A team of CCB officers and other personnel under the supervision of DCP Hariram solved the long-pending case. They have been rewarded with Rs ten thousand cash for their efforts
Case details:
The incident dates to last November when two motorbike-borne men intercepted and hacked Noushad (30), a Kadri resident merely a few days after a murder attempt on his father-in-law.
Noushad who was riding with his wife at the time of the attack sustained injuries on his arms and torso
The attackers fled as people began to gather. Noushad was admitted to Unity Hospital in Mangaluru.
His father-in-law Abdul Aziz, a member of the Kandavara Masjid’s committee, was attacked with machetes in Gurapur on November 15, 2020. He too was rushed to a private hospital, where he underwent treatment.
