Police detains Maski Cong candidate, his brother after quarrel during vote count

Raichur: Police detained Basanagouda Turvihal, the brother of Congress candidate in the Muski Assembly by-election Siddhangouda Turvihal after he objected to and quarrelled with poll officials during the counting of votes.
After his brother’s detention, Siddhangouda started an arguement with the police to which the district’s Deputy Commissioner intervened and asked the police to detain him too.
Speaking after his detention, Siddhangouda alleged that the poll officials were not providing proper information.
Siddhangouda is leading in the Muski segment as of the publisihing of this report.
