Byndoor: A 12-year-old girl who was under home-isolation after testing positive for COVID-19 committed suicide.
Reportedly, a family residing at Koderi in Kirimanjeshwar near Uppunda were tested positive for COVID-19, while the other member of the family who came in contact with the infected members have been undergoing home quarantine.
In order to make sure no other family member gets infected, 12-year-old Tanvitha was advised not to come in close proximity with other family members or play with kids inside the house.
Tanvitha who was mentally disturbed by the restrictions put upon her, ended her life on Tuesday, May 4.
A case has been registered at Byndoor police station.
