Suratkal: Miscreants threaten young boy, loot lakhs worth of gold; arrested

Suratkal: Police officials have arrested two accused who threatened a young boy and looted lakhs worth of gold from him in Madhya village, Suratkal
The arrested are identfied as Ranjit Poojary alias Ranju (25) and Manjunath alias Manja (25)
It is said that Ranju and Manja forcefully abducted the victim named Bharat (14) near a temple in Madhya village. They then threatened Bharath to bring gold and cash from his house
However, after realizing that Bharath’s parents are not at home, the accused took him to the house and looted 15 pavan gold. They also warned Bharath not to reveal this to anyone or his parents would be killed
On May 5, the accused once again threatened Bharath to give them Rs 70,000 in two days. Bharath then informed his parents and they informed the police officials. Upon investigation, it was revealed that the family knew the accused very well
A case has been registered at Suratkal police station and an investigation is underway
