Banahatti: An elderly patient had to wait at a refuelling station next to the town council building here on Monday to get admission to a private hospital.
The man was identified as Gadigeppa Kotyal, a resident of Todalabagi village in Jamkhandi taluk.
Gadigeppa’s son Shrishaila said that his father has no symptoms of COVID-19 and is suffering from asthma. They tried to admit him to 5-6 other hospitals earlier but there were no beds available in any of them. As the car that brought them to the town has left they have to sit and wait at the refuelling station.
