After being excluded from the office’s regular pizza parties, a receptionist at a car dealership won 23,000 Euros in compensation.

Malgorzata Lewicka, an employee at Hartwell, a car dealership in the United Kingdom was purposefully excluded from the company lunch. As per reports, the bosses at the dealership would ask the employees for a takeaway order as part of an informal lunch every month.

Lewicka also complained to the tribunal about her pay, working hours, and alleged sexual misconduct by her boss Mark Benson.

Meanwhile, the company asserted that this was done as Lewicka was a part-time employee and would leave the office at 1 pm.

The judge ruled that she could still be asked to be a part of the informal gathering and Lewicka’s boss was found guilty of gross misconduct and was left with a warning. Lewicka then received 23,000 Euros (INR 20 Lakhs) as compensation for injury to feelings as well as loss of earnings.
