Bengaluru: Deputy Chief Minister CN Ashwath Narayan has clarified that there is no shortage of COVID-19 vaccines in the State.

He was speaking to reporters after inaugurating the oxygen concentrator delivery service by Ola Cabs in Bengaluru on Wednesday.

The DyCM said that presently 2.5 lakh doses of the vaccine are being administered across the State daily to second dose beneficiaries which previously was 1 lakh doses per day adding that only first dose beneficiaries are experiencing some problems.

“Earlier, beneficiaries over 45 years of age were administered vaccine on the first-come-first-serve basis at the vaccination centre. But, now even they have to register for the vaccine,” Narayan said.

Speaking about the oxygen concentrator delivery service, he said that GiveIndia and Ola Cab have joined hands with the government for the service which will be initially started in Bengaluru and will be gradually expanded across the State.
