Bantwal: Heated arguments were reported between supporters of a Kalladka gram panchayat member and police officials after police allegedly stopped the car and questioned a close associate of a gram panchayat member.
The incident occurred at about 9 am when the police arrived and started to shut down shops and check vehicles.
The people are alleging that the police officials while inspecting the car of the gram panchayat member’s associate, threatened him with lathis.
Later, a Sub Inspector from the town’s police station arrived at the spot and handled the situation.
