Bantwal: Thumbe dam full ahead of monsoon

Bantwal: Thumbe dam is almost full even before the beginning of the monsoon season this year.
As there was moderate to heavy rains in the city for the past two days, the dam is now full which has proven to be a huge relief to the people of Mangaluru
On Saturday, Thumbe dam held six metres of water which the officials is sufficient for the city for more than 45 days without any fresh inflow.
Earlier, in the month of June, the level of the dam was 5.50 metres and with improved inflow at the Thumbe vented dam, the city did not face water shortage even during the summer season.
