#VaxCheck: MIC to hold virtual fact-checking series on May 15

Manipal Institute of Communication has partnered with Google News Initiative for VaxCheck Town Hall fact-checking series in Karnataka. The session aims to equip participants with the acumen to wade through vaccine-related misinformation & false claims.

The session will be held tomorrow May 15, 2021. It includes 30  training workshops in 30 states and union territories covering various topics like mis and disinformation about vaccines, understanding vaccine misinformation, monitoring social media conversations, etc.

The training provided in partnership with Data Leads aims to further sensitize the participants with the tools and strategies to uncover, understand and address the spread of incorrect information related to COVID-19Vaccination. 

Sessions will be conducted free of cost on Zoom.
