Mangaluru: Coast Guard rescues 3 fishermen from boat stranded at sea

Mangaluru: The Indian Coast Guard rescued three fishermen from the sea who were stranded after their fishing boat’s engine developed problems.
The boat was 10 nautical miles from Kannur when the Coast Guard, on learning of the incident, initiated a rescue operation and sent ICGS Vikram for the operation.
After rescuing the fishermen, the Coast Guard personnel onboard Vikram provided food and medical assistance to them.
Due to Cyclone Tauktae fishermen still at sea were advised to return to shore.
The rescued fishermen were returning to the coast when their boat had stopped from engine failure.
