Mangaluru: Crew member who falls from ship into sea remains untraced

Mangaluru: An official working for a cargo ship titled SSL Ganga who went missing after falling into the sea remains untraced.
The missing crew member is Amal Xavier Caribal (60). He was from Kanyakumari.
The ship left Mangaluru on May 15 and encountered very rough weather, brought by cyclone Tauktae.
The captain of the ship ordered anchoring of the ship. The chief officer of the ship, Benil Ramachandra, along with Tamandeep Singh and Amal, was trying to lower the anchor from the front deck when huge waves rocked the boat and Amal fell into the sea at that time.
The other three crew members who fell into the deck were injured.
A missing case has been registered at Panambur police station in this respect.
