Udupi: The district administration here, in a release, has published the charges that private hospitals can charge for treatment provided for COVID-19 patients.
This comes in view of the prevailing confusion among the general public over treatment charges fixed by the government.
Admission to private hospitals will cost Rs 10,000 for the general ward, Rs 12,000 for an HDU ward, Rs 15,000 for an isolation ward without a ventilator and Rs 25,000 for an isolation ward with a ventilator, the release said.
All admissions to government hospitals will be free under the Ayushman Bharat Arogya Karnataka scheme.
