Mumbai Police is popular for its presence on social media platforms, for its witty responses and wordplay.

A man named Sunny recently tweeted to Mumbai police, asking if his name would make him an exception to the rules. To which Mumbai police had a quirky reply.

Mumbai’s Commissioner of Police recently urged people to stay home saying it’s too hot to venture out and tweeted, “A Perfect Climate To Remain Indoors,” with a photo showing it’s “sunny” outside at 30 degrees Celsius.  He even added in  tweet in Marathi that it is “better to stay at home than to go out in the hot sun.”

Mumbai Police decided to answer the man with a quirky reply and they wrote, “Sir, if you are truly that star at the centre of the solar system, around which Earth & the other components of solar system revolve, we hope you realise the responsibility you are shouldering!” the law enforcement agency wrote in a sarcastic reply. “Don’t compromise it by exposing yourself to the virus please! Be the #SunshineOfSafety,”  winning Twitter with their wordplay.

Soon the reply caught the attention of Twitter users who reacted with silly tweets.
