Bengaluru: BJP MP Tejasvi Surya faced backlash after a poster saying ‘supported by Office of Tejasvi Surya’ appeared outside a paid vaccination centre in Jayanagar, South Bengaluru.
People on social media expressed their displeasure stating that the government or MP failed to ensure supplies to public hospitals while allowing private hospitals to conduct drives.
Following the criticism, the office of Surya tweeted, “Please note that there will be no vaccination drive at Shalini Grounds today. A link to register for appointments on the hospital portal will soon be updated. Please circulate this message and ensure the right message reaches the public. Thank you.”
Tejasvi Surya’s private paid vaccine center is reportedly next to a BBMP centre.
