Farangipete: Two dead, one injured as van hits stationary tanker

Mangaluru: Two persons were  killed and one injured  when a van in which they were travelling hit a stationary tanker on national highway 73 near Farangipet on Friday May 28.

The deceased are identified as Dawood (27) and Mohammad Unnaiz (33) residents of Pudu village in Farangipet. Mohammad Mustafa (46) was seriously injured and is admitted to a private hospital in Thumbe.  All were traders in dry fish at Bunder.

It is said that the Omni van which was on its way from Mangaluru to BC Road, went out of the control and hit the tanker that was parked by the road side near Mandovi showroom at Adyar.

Police officials visited the spot and conducted an inspection.
